With Sidemount diving you’ll be wearing one, two or more tanks on your side. This will take weight off your back, and reduce your profile so that you slide through the water.
Sidemount increases safety. You’ll be able to dive longer and will have a completely redundant system. Great for photographers, Solo Divers, tech divers or anyone that wants to spend more time underwater !

SDI Sidemount diver course
The SDI Sidemount diver courses introduce the recreational diver to sidemount diving. You can choose to dive with either one or two tanks.
The courses take just two days and you’ll have one pool and three great boat dives on Bohol’s amazing walls. Bring your camera you will have a chance to explore and take photos.
You’ll have a chance to practice
- Buoyancy control
- Trim – you’ll be amazed how sidemount naturally trims you horizontal
- Finning – not just forwards be in reverse too. Cool !!
- Valve shutdowns and problem solving
- Gas management – switching regs is easy
You will be certified to make dives up to 30m with either one or two sidemount tanks
